In Tagalog, the word "Naks" carries the beautiful essence of surprise and admiration, serving as our inspiration to craft gastronomic delights that aim to evoke these heartfelt emotions. Our meals are meticulously prepared to spark joy and wonder with every flavorful bite.
Naks by Unapologetic Foods offers a gastronomic tour of the Philippines framed by the personal memories of the restaurant’s chef, Eric Valdez. Chef Eric is crisscrossing Philippines and taking inspirations from locals homes and smaller towns to present a part of the cuisine that is still hidden from many around the world.
There are two ways to experience Naks and each offers its own unique perspective.
Kamayan
Join us at Naks to experience a Kamayan Dinner! A unique, hands-on culinary journey celebrating Filipino culture and cuisine. Picture a table covered in banana leaves, laden with grilled meats, seafood, and aromatic vegetables. Indulge in a communal feast, away from cutlery constraints. Embrace the joy of hands-on dining.

A la Carte
The à la carte menu is divided into sections, allowing diners to explore regional Filipino food and varying cooking techniques, paired with cocktails or beer. Many of the dishes are not commonly served in Filipino restaurants in Metro Manila, much less New York City, and draw inspiration from home-cooking to street food.
